Woodruff - YBP DDA
This automated process uses Alma's PDA module to load candidate records from ProQuest Ebook Central and EBSCO and then overlay purchased records with POs. Portfolios are added as part of the YBP DDA electronic collection.
Records are sent to us through the YBP server (subaccount 55 if you're consulting the YBP Technical Specifications) and picked up by Turing.
Candidate records (including some deletes) are in dda folder and purchase EOD records are in ecat folder and begin with 55.
Repository import profile - candidate records
Records are on the YBP server in dda folder and begin with 55.
Deleted Candidate Records
EBSCO - Chris gets emailed a list of deleted titles, which have to be removed manually
ProQuest Ebook Central - per YBP/GOBI, they do not have a process to provide delete MARC records. The PQ Ebook Central deletes are handled in the same way the EBL deletes were handled - Their system runs a process on an agreed upon timeframe (weekly, monthly, etc) and an email is sent to an admin at the library to retrieve the file for removal. Still following up with ProQuest on how this works as of 1/30/18
New Order import profile - purchased records with POs
Purchase EOD records are in the YBP server ecat folder and begin with 55.
EMORY-UNIV YBP DDA PURCHASE norm rule
Same as EMORY-UNIV YBP DDA CANDIDATE norm rule, but replace CANDIDATE with PURCHASE in first stanza
(Note: Could also just use the 940 rule, because YBP adds the rest of the rules in our ecat files.)
EMORY-UNIV YBP DDA PURCHASE process
Same as the UNIV YBP DDA CANDIDATE process but with the EMORY-UNIV YBP DDA PURCHASE norm rule in the 3rd Drools Key in the Task Parameters tab.
