Instructions on how to set up the Brother QL-500 printer to use with SpineOMatic.

This printer will be using the DK-2210 Continuous roll of labels.  Installing the printer driver and configuring the settings does require Admin privileges.

The printer driver zip file can be downloaded from the https://www.brother-usa.com/ site. The file can be downloaded and extracted without Admin rights, but to run the installer, the rights would be required. Once the files are installed, and the computer restarted, there are a few settings to be changed for the printer.

1. Navigate to the Printers & scanners section of your computer settings
2. Under Printers & scanners you will see a list of all of the printers and scanners that are available for you to use.
3. Click once on the Brother QL-500 printer.

Click on Manage

Click on Printing preferences

1. The Printing Preferences pane will open on the Paper Tab.
2. The default Format: is Normal Format. This will need to be adjusted to match the format of the actual labels. To make this change, click on
3. Label format definitions.

1. The Label format definitions pane will open. In the Name field, type:Continuous roll DK-2210.
2. Change the label dimensions to:
   1. Width: 1-1/7"
   2. Length: 1.50
   3. Feed: 0.12
3. Click on OK

A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click on OK.

1. You will return to the Printing Preferences page. Under Orientation, click the radio button next to Portrait to change the orientation.
2. Under Quality, click the radio button next to Give priority to print quality.
3. Click on Apply.
4. Click on OK.

The print set up is now complete.
