Each user can customize the list of templates that appear in the New menu (1) by using the Templates display configuration (2) option.  Both MARC21 bibliographic (3) and Holdings (4) templates lists can be customized.

To customize an available templates list

• select the Templates display configuration (2) option (New menu)
• the Templates display configuration list opens in the editing area of the Metadata Editor:

In the "Display in Menu" column (5), toggle the slider (6) to the right to select the templates that appear in the list of options for the New menu. Toggle the slider to the left to make templates hidden in the list of options for the New menu. 

You can create you own templates for the types of bibliographic and holding records you use often.
