Remove a Work Order Status

Don't confuse Location with Work Order type

It gets confusing because we have both a "Technical Services" Work Order type AND a "Technical Services" Location.

Make sure you're at the right location

To remove a work order status, you have to be "at" the same location that put on the work order status (i.e., you have to catch it from where you threw it, not from somewhere else).

In this example, we are taking off a Technical Services work order that was originally put on "at" Circulation.

If the Tech Services work order had been placed "at" Tech Services, we would have to remove it using the Tech Services location.

Make sure you're at the right location

Choose Technical Services from the Work Order Type drop-down menu and make sure the Register In-House Use box is unchecked (it dispappears if you choose Technical Services).

Choose type of status to remove

If you choose the last option for Set Status To, Technical services (default, auto-assigned), it will remove ANY status that's on the item. Otherwise, choose the status that you know you are removing.
