- Items with a question of whether to add or not should be placed on the Gifts Needing Collection Management Review shelf.
Serials and foreign titles
- Route serials to ECR using Serials Gift Cataloging shelf.
- Route problematic/foreign language titles to advanced or area catalogers.

Location and work orders
- Use LSC/USTOR library and location unless otherwise noted.
- Put in an orange Storage Flag to indicate it's being transferred to the LSC.
- Put Tech Services work orders on items.
Marking and physical processing
- Route to Marking to stamp, strip, mark and take off work orders as usual.
- No bookplates are needed, unless specifically noted on paperwork accompanying the item.
- Place irregular or small size documents in envelopes. Add barcode to item and outside of envelope as usual.
- Route items in questionable condition to Preservation for review.
